189 DPCs opened in Nagapattinam

According to official information, the Collector said, in addition to the already opened 50 DPCs, as many as 189 were opened till Monday . However, based on the requirement, more number of DPCs would be opened, he said.  

The collector said that the DPCs would function from Monday to Saturday and the farmers could approach them with a copy of Chitta and they can check the moisture condition of paddy with the TAB equipment available in all the DPCs, he said. 

The fine variety has been fixed a Rs 1,905 per quintal including Rs 70 incentive while common variety has been fixed at Rs 1865 including Rs 50 as incentive. He also asked the farmers to contact the control room at 04365-251843 at Nagapattinam for any query or complaints in all days except Sundays and holidays, the collector stated.
