Threat to Mylai temple

The Kapaleeswarar temple in Mylapore received a letter on Thursday which threatened that bombs would go off in five temples in Chennai. Following this, a bomb squad conducted a thorough check of the temple premises and security was also beefed up. The sender’s name in the letter,  which has been sent a day ahead of the Babri Masjid anniversary,  was mentioned as Mohammed Hanif from Saidapet and a police investigation revealed that some trouble monger had sent the letter in that person’s name. The letter reportedly stated that all temples would be blown up to avenge the demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.
