Announcing this, State general secretary of the association SN Janardhanan said, “The original Vellore revenue district had five educational districts. After the trifurcation, it has only one. This has resulted in many areas within Vellore district being attached to the newly formed Ranipet and Tirupattur revenue districts. As education related issues of teachers and students could be resolved only if the education district was part of the revenue district, we have sought the help of the CM to expedite the process.”

As of now Gudiyattam, Pernambut and KV Kuppam areas have been attached to the Vaniyambadi education district in Tirupattur revenue district. Similarly, Vallimalai and Ponnai, though situated in Vellore revenue district, have been made part of the Ranipet education district.

“Just as a new revenue division is at Gudiyattam, a new Gudiyattam education district is needed for Gudiyattam, Pernambut and KV Kuppam, while Ponnai and Vallimalai can be attached to Vellore education district,” he said.
