The third award was received under the category ‘Swachh Police Station’. The award was given away to the city police for their efforts to get rid of abandoned and unclaimed vehicles in stations and keep the premises clean.

In 2018, as many as 7,875 vehicles (90 three-wheelers, 102 four-wheelers and 7683 two-wheelers) were found to be abandoned and unclaimed. These were sent for auction through the Greater Chennai Corporation after following due process.
