Chengalpattu becomes Tamil Nadu's 37th district

The last of the five new districts of Tamil Nadu was inaugurated by state Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy.
Chengalpattu became Tamil Nadu's 37th district on Friday. The others are Tenkasi, Kallakuruchi, Tirupattur and Ranipettai, which became districts in the past month. Â
Reports say the new districts were created to help the administration run them efficiently.Â
Palaniswamy laid foundation stones for various new projects in the new districts. Â
