Alleging that the Lt Governor is adopting an “autocratic” attitude, the Chief Minister described her as the “sister of Hitler.”

Speaking at a function organised in PCC office on Tuesday, Chief Minister Narayanasamy charged that Lt Governor Kiran Bedi is ‘belittling’ the elected government here.

She is giving trouble in implementing people welfare schemes, he alleged and said the Deepavali bonus and salary to the government staff could be disbursed only at the last moment as the files were kept pending at the Raj Nivas.

Narayanasamy said the Cabinet had given approval for it and though, not necessary, the files are being sent to the Lt Governor as she was demanding it.

The hearing on her appeal on curtailing her powers is coming up in the Madras High Court on November 21 when a solution for all would be expected.

Stating that he is feeling sympathy for the officials, Narayanasamy said that his demand is that they should function as per the rules only.

On the issue of Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao erecting a statue of his father, the Chief Minister said it was erected in his own place and there is no need to seek permission from anyone.

Pointing out the Lt Governor asking under whose permission Narayanasamy visited Singapore, he said that he visited with his own money and after getting permission from the Centre.
