Kannan hails Congress win in Pondy
Makkal Munnetra Congress (MMC) founder P Kannan on Friday accepted the verdict given by the people in the October 21 by-election to the Kamaraj Nagar Assembly constituency here.

MMC candidate Vetrichelvan, who contested as an independent lost deposit in the bypoll.
Addressing reporters here, Kannan said the party had contested the election with an empty hand and returned with empty hand.
He ridiculed Chief Minister V Narayanasamy for claiming Lt Governor Kiran Bedi and NR Congress president N Rangasamy responsible for the Congress party’s victory and said Narayanasamy himself is admitting that his party did not win due to the performance of his government.
