“The victory has certainly boosted the morale of the party and the party will easily win the maximum number of seats in the civic polls,” said former AIADMK MLA Ku Srinivasan. The party after losing charismatic Jayalalithaa is now on a recovery mode and the recent surge in the vote share is boost tothe party workers, he said.

Meanwhile, AIADMK alliance which won the Assembly bypoll constituencies by a huge margin on Thursday has now started intensifying its campaign across the state stating that the voters have acknowledged the AIADMK government led by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam. The newly elected MLAs, AIADMK Ministers and the party spokespersons are now going on a tom-tom mode eyeing for a political mileage ahead of the upcoming civic polls.

Newly elected MLAs R Muthamilselvan, who won from Vikravandi and Reddiyarpatti V Narayanan from Nanguneri are now taking turns addressing public and the media attributing the party success to the dual leadership of Palaniswami and Panneerselvam. The MLAs, who called on the AIADMK leaders Palaniswami and Panneerselvam on Friday attributed the victory to the dual leadership of AIADMK and claimed that the good governance helped them to register victory.

The MLAs have also planned for a massive campaign in their respective constituencies to thank voters along with the local Ministers. State Ministers D Jayakumar, Vellamandi Natarajan and Sellur Raju have also joined the campaign boasting the victory as a defeat to the rival DMK led by MK Stalin. Jayakumar also took a dig at the DMK and the rebel AMMK stating that the dreams of opposition parties have been shattered by the AIADMK which had bounced back in the bypolls.

PMK leader Dr S Ramadoss also joined the chorus targeting Stalin. Voters of Vikravandi have taught a fitting lesson to Stalin for his hate campaign.

His tactical campaign and the ‘sudden love’ for Vanniyars had not gone well among the voters. The public are smart and they have understood the fake campaign unveiled by the Opposition DMK, Ramadoss said in a statement.
