Murasoli issue: NCSC directs chief secy to report in a week

The NCSC asked the Chief Secretary “to submit the facts and information on the action taken on the allegations/matters to the Commission,” on the land on which office of Murasoli was constructed. The Chief Secretary was also asked to file the report within a week or he will be summoned by the Commission for “appearance in person.”

BJP state secretary R Srinivasan, on Tuesday, submitted a petition to NCSC demanding it to investigate the issue and to seize the property if it was constructed on Panchami land. Without any delay, NCSC acted immediately on the issue and sent a notice to Chief Secretary to investigate and submit a report on the issue. Taking the issue seriously, NCSC said that the “Commission may exercise the powers of Civil Court conferred on it under Article 338 of Constitution of India” to summon the Chief Secretary in case of the top bureaucrat of the state not responding on time.

Meanwhile, DMK president MK Stalin, in a statement, said, “I have already issued proofs that the Murasoli office was constructed on patta land and not on Panchami land. I have issued a challenge to PMK leader Ramadoss that if he provides proof that Murasoli office was constructed on Panchami land I will quit politics but so far he had not produced any proof.”

He also said that BJP State Secretary Srinivasan is functioning as an assistant of Ramadoss.
