SK Nawaz, co-chairman of the legal cell of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) who submitted a complaint with T Punidamani, senior SP of CBI (MDMA) in this regard, on Wednesday said that Seeman himself claims that they had murdered Rajiv Gandhi which is an offence punishable under section 302 of Indian Penal Code.
“Seeman not only took pride in killing Rajiv Gandhi, but also claimed that ‘we’ had killed Rajiv Gandhi,” Nawaz, who also enclosed a video evidence of Seeman’s October 11 speech at a public meeting in Vikravandi in the complaint, told DT Next over phone.
“He said we did it. It is a public admission of committing a murder. What else do we need? That is why I am petitioning the agency investigating the murder,” Nawaz added. Referring to a subsequent press conference in which Seeman had refused to withdraw his comments on the issue, Nawaz said, “He (Seeman) said that he will not take back his statement of his involvement in the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi and ready to face the legal consequences.”
