BJP state president and MLA V Saminathan in a statement here said that the Congress party is being rejected by the people in all the states of the country and it lost the status of opposition party in the Lok Sabha.

Narayanasamy will be the last Congress Chief Minister in the Union Territory and the Congress rule here is coming to a close, he said.

Alleging that the Congress party is being run with the help of economic offenders and real estate owners, Saminathan said that Congress have no right to criticise the BJP.

The BJP state president said that it is certain that the Congress party which was in power in Puducherry for the past 50 years will not only lose the 2021 Assembly elections, but also will lose the main opposition party status.

The People of Puducherry can firmly believe that a corruption free government would be formed after the 2021 elections, he added.

Stating that it is a pity that Narayanasamy is in an imaginary world that the Congress is a strong movement, Saminathan said the Chief Minister should think how many of the party legislators are really Congressmen. Many of them had joined the party for money, power and position from other parties, he alleged and said that very soon the Congress party will be rejected by the people in entire country
