DMK president MK Stalin has hit out at state Health Minister Dr C Vijaya Baskar for his “before mosquito bite and after mosquito bite” remark and urged the government to make efforts to provide necessary treatment to affected people.

Chennai
Stalin, who visited dengue affected people in the government hospital in the city, referred to the comic statement of the Minister and said “Gutkha-fame Vijaya Baskar has cracked a joke. It is condemnable that he has made a statement without any concern for the people affected by dengue.”
Advising the government to pull up its socks and do more to prevent spread of disease,Stalin also appealed to the people to take preventive measures in their areas.
Asked about the Minister camping in bypoll-bound Vikravandi and Nanguneri when the state need works on far footing to control dengue, Stalin advised reporters to put the query to the Minister and said, “He (Vijaya Baskar) does not seem to bother about it or the people. Hence, I have visited the patients and doctors to expedite prevention works.”
Sparing a thought for NEET impersonation scam, the DMK president who is also Leader of Opposition reiterated that only CBI probe would bring out the truth and asked, “Why would the govt which moves the Madras High Court to erect banners for the PM and CM, has not done it for NEET?”
