Speaking on the sidelines of the state conference of the officer-bearers of Anna Dravidar Kazhagam, Dhivakaran said, prior to going to the prison, Sasikala left the AIADMK with 133 MLAs and the post of Deputy General Secretary. “What is the result? He lost everything,” Dhivakaran said.

“In my opinion, AMMK has to single out Dhinakaran for the party to grow or merge with the AIADMK,” he said.

Dhivakaran accused the failed strategy of Dhinakaran that resulted in shifting camp by the party strongmen like Senthil Balaji and Thanga Tamilselvan. “And now, Pugazhendi has been planning to quit. He should be prevented from doing so. At the same time, Pugazhendi claimed that it is his duty to rescue Sasikala from the conspiracy. There is a threat from the family and so, I, by all means would prevent her from being ridiculed and threatened,” he said.

Stating that the AIADMK leaders who run the party compromise with the Centre for many things, Dhivakaran said, they should at least think about the welfare of the state. “Whatever project the Centre has been announcing, the state government blindly follow them. They should think whether that particular project suit Tamil Nadu. They have lost their self-respect,” he charged.

Dhivakaran also said that he has decided to take his Anna Dravidar Kazhagam to the next level and sothey have been preparing to face the upcominglocal body polls.
