Youth surrenders for ‘violent’ tik tok video
A youth, who was wanted for uploading a video of him involved in a fake fight with his friends using toy pistol and weapons in tik tok surrendered before police in Namakkal on Saturday.
A video showing a group of youngsters fighting among each other by brandishing weapons and a pistol went viral in social media. As their act appeared realistic and triggered fear among public, the Namakkal Superintendent of Police Arularasu ordered an investigation into the issue.
A police team led by Rasipuram DSP Vijayaraghavan launched a hunt for those in the video. Meanwhile, on Saturday, B Bharath (21) from Pudupalayam surrendered before Rasipuram police with the toy pistol.
Police let him off with a warning after he gave in writing not to involve in such acts. However, police have recommended for an inquiry by the sub-collector. A search is onto nab others, who were onthe run.
