BJP pulls down all its banners in Union Territory

In the backdrop of  woman techie Subhasri’s death in Chennai, the Puducherry unit of the BJP on Saturday removed the banners erected on its own.

The BJP had erected several banners to celebrate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party volunteers led by state president V Saminathan, removed all of them. Later, Saminathan told mediapersons that the BJP had erected more than 100 banners for the birthday celebration of Modi.

Following the death of Subhasri, they are removing the party banners, he said, adding that the BJP wanted to be a model to other political parties. He also vowed not to erect banners anymore.
