‘Corrupt can’t escape in Modi’s regime’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now an unstoppable force and his rising stature among the international community is proved by the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, said BJP state unit president Tamilisai Soundararajan here on Wednesday.

Talking to reporters, she said, while it took Congress leader Rahul Gandhi 23 days to understand that Kashmir was part of India and that Pakistan could have no claim on it, Tamilisai wondered whether he would leave the Congress, as recently senior Congress leaders were demanding that those who praised Modi should quit the party.

International leaders, including those in Russian and USA have accepted that Kashmir is an internal issue of India and Rahul Gandhi realised it only recently, she said. Moreover, DMK president MK Stalin, VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan and MDMK general secretary Vaiko are yet to accept this, she added.

Stating that the DMK propagated Kashmir issue to hide something else, she said the BJP wanting to reform the economy had asked RBI for Rs 1.76 lakh crore, whereas the Congress government under P Chidambaram had received money from the RBI five times during his tenure as finance minister.

Earlier, addressing the party’s Vellore east district advisory meeting, Tamilisai said Tihar jail is getting ready to welcome former finance minister P Chidambaram. His family was now becoming a ‘bail’ family as they were involved in many cases. This proved that nobody, who indulged in corruption, could escape during Modi’s tenure, she noted.
