DMK against sovereignty, BJP to EC
BJP state secretary R Srinivasan on Sunday lodged a complaint with the Election Commission (EC) against the DMK for its remarks on Kashmir.

Chennai
In the complaint, Srinivasan stated, “In a debate in an English satellite news channel, A Saravanan, officially representing the DMK, told that Kashmir was never an integral part of India. The statement has never been objected, denied or withdrawn either by Saravanan or by DMK president MK Stalin and so stringent action has to be taken against the DMK which has committed offence of disintegrating the nation and its sovereignty.”
He also said that by the statement of Saravanan the intention of the DMK becomes clear that the party wanted to disintegrate India both religiously and politically, which is not expected from any political party in the country. Permitting the party to function will lead to serious disintegration, said Srinivasan.
