Tamilisai symbolically reinforces BJP-AIADMK ties with rakhi
To cement the existing ties with the ruling government, BJP state unit president Tamilisai Soundararajan, on Thursday, tied rakhi to Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami at a common feast function held here.

Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department (HR&CE) organised special prayers and common feast in 448 temples across the state on the occasion of Independence Day.
In 33 temples in Chennai, all the Ministers, including Chief Minister Palaniswami, participated in the special prayers and common feast.
Palaniswami participated in the common feast in Sakthi Vinayagar Temple in KK Nagar and in the function, Tamilisai and senior AIADMK leader P Valarmathi, participated. Before the commencement of common feast, Tamilisai tied rakhi to Chief Minister as Raksha Bandhan was also celebrated on Thursday.
Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam participated in the common feast at Marundeeswarar Temple in Tiruvanmiyur, Speaker P Dhanapal participated in the common feast at Thyagaraja Swamy Temple in Tiruvottiyur. Forest Minister Dindigul C Srinivasan took part in the common feast in Parthasarathy Temple in Triplicane, School Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan joined the common feast at Anantha Padmanabaswamy Temple in Adyar, State Minister for Cooperation Sellur K Raju participated in the common feast held at Mundakanni Amman Temple in Mylapore.
State Electricity Minister P Thangamani joined the common feast at Kamadeswarar Temple in Thambu Chetti Street, Minister for Municipal Administration SP Velumani participated in the common feast at Kabaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore, State Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar participated in the common feast held at Sidhi Budhi Vinayagar Temple in Royapuram.
