Kashmir may separate from India, warns Vaiko
Warning that Kashmir will separate from India, MDMK general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vaiko on Monday said that Kashmir will not be with India when the nation is celebrating its 100th Independence Day.

Addressing the reporters here,Vaiko said India is in big trouble and the administrators have pushed the country to suffer in quick sand and the history is going to see the separation of Kashmir.
Responding to actor Rajinikanth’s recent comments, Vaiko said, “I have been attacking both the BJP-led Centre and the Opposition Congress on this issue.” Rajinikanth had earlier commended the BJP leader Amit Shah for taking a strong stand on Kashmir issue by scrapping the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir.
Though Vaiko evaded a direct reply to Rajinikanth, he condemned the BJP for its decision on Kashmir. He also said that former Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah, who is now under house arrest, will soon visit Chennai to take part in the 110th birth anniversary celebrations of Dravidian leader CN Annadurai scheduled on September 15.
Earlier in the day, Vaiko visited the Anna memorial and said that his party was gearing up for a mega conference to mark the annual birth anniversary celebrations of former CM Annadurai. “DMK leader MK Stalin will participate in the event, MPs and former union ministers will attend the celebrations. All arrangements are in place to make the event to be attended by large gathering. The event will help the MDMK to get its due elevation in the political arena,” Vaiko said.
It may be noted that the recent bills passed by the BJP in Parliament has created a divide among the political parties in the state with the ruling AIADMK and actor Rajinikanth backing the BJP. The Opposition DMK and actor Kamal Haasan have condemned the BJP on scrapping of Article 370.
