NIT-T honours four former students with distinguished alumnus award
Four former students of NIT, Tiruchy (NIT-T) were felicitated with Distinguished Alumnus Awards for their multifarious endeavours and excellence in the field corporate/industry and public administration here on Saturday.

Eminent personalities like Anantha Radhakrishnan, CEO and MD Infosys BPM Ltd, Bengaluru; Aravind Soundararajan, Vice President, Engineering, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd., Bengaluru; Major General Suresh Krishnan (Retired), President, Autism Society of India, Bangalore and Captain Manivannam Ponniah, IAS, Secretary to State, Govt. of Karnataka accepted the awards and shared their valuable inputs with the audience.
According to the NIT-T, Anantha Radhakrishnan has been serving as a member of four Infosys BPM Subsidiary boards for more than ten years and his works has fetched him multiple recognitions – more than ten prestigious awards from corporates like Infosys and HUL since 1999. Aravind Soundararajan is known for his stupendous efforts in introducing and developing the technologies for television and set-top box. His efforts have fetched him 7 patents and 15 publications with US PTO. Major General Suresh Krishnan’s remarkable efforts in raising funds for the livelihood of autistic children fetched the best NGO of the year 2018 award for the Autism Society of India. Captain P Manivannam is a recipient of honourable awards like Bengalurean of the year in 2012, Young Leader of the year in 2011 and Best Practices Award by the Govt. of India.
Director of NIT-T Dr Mini Shaji Thomas gave away the awards in recognition of their splendid contributions in different fields and congratulated them forinspiring people from all walks of life.
