PMK asks Muslims to be wary of DMK
PMK founder S Ramadoss on Friday asked the Muslims residing in Vellore constituency to defeat the DMK in the upcoming Lok Sabha election and to teach them a lesson.

“The important agenda kept by the DMK in Vellore election is that the party stands for the interests of Muslims, but DMK on several occasions in the past had acted against Muslims. If Muslims believe the lies of the DMK and vote for the party it is similar to digging their own grave,” said Ramadoss, adding that if their alliance candidate, AC Shanmugam, is elected he will get the required schemes and projects for the constituency.
Ramadoss recalled the previous incidents where DMK had acted against the interests of Islamic community. “In 1998, after the Coimbatore bomb blast, Muslims of Kottaimedu in Coimbatore were treated as prisoners and they were not allowed to leave their locality. DMK was in the power when the draconian restrictions were imposed on Muslims, but it was PMK which fought and removed all the restrictions, including the police check posts,” said Ramadoss.
He also said that the DMK was responsible in breaking Indian Union Muslim League into two, one headed by Adbul Samad and another by Rashid, but it was PMK which arranged for merger of the two teams in the public meeting held at Tindivanam. Even when the NIA Bill was moved in the Parliament, the DMK voted in support of the Bill and it is a clear case of treachery, said Ramadoss.
