Youth held for threatening Pondy Education Minister

The video showed a youth abusing and threatening Kamalkannan, who was elected to the territorial assembly from Tirunallar constituency in Karaikal, went viral on social media. Following this, the police registered a case and arrested the youth who was hiding in Tirunallar area.

The accused was identified as Shankar Guru hailing from Pettai village near Tirunallar.

After interrogating him, the police are on the lookout for Ajith and Kannan, who allegedly posted the video on social media, said sources. Further investigation is on.
