Boulder placed on rly track at Pollachi
Three migrant workers were arrested Saturday on charges of placing a boulder on the railway track near Pollachi in the district, police said.

However, the train crushed the rock on the tracks without any untoward incident and the driver informed the railway police.
A police team went to the spot where there were a large number of migrant workers from Bihar were staying and conducted an inquiry.
It revealed three of the workers had under the influence of alcohol placed the boulder on the railway track on Friday night. Following this, three of them were arrested, the police officers said. Further investigations are on.
