Transport Minister MR Vijayabhaskar introduced the bill under which the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act 1974 will be revised to levy taxes for Omni busses with berth for passengers.

If the temporary licence is for a period exceeding 30 days but not exceeding 90 days, Rs 5,000 per seat or Rs 5,500 per single berth per entry, the bill said. The bill also has provisions to get temporary license for period not exceeding seven days.
It may be noted that the state government last year revised cinema ticket price for multiplex theatres and the parking fee collected by local bodies inviting sharp criticism from general public.
Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam also introduced a bill under which the Tamil Nadu Regulations of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act 2007 will be amended. The objective of the bill was to give additional 30 days time for the landlords and the tenants to enter into rental agreement. As per the Act the sub section 2 and 4 fixes that the rental agreement in writing should be entered within 90 days and now with the amendment the extend of limit for a further period of 120 days will be granted, the bill read.
Minister for Animal Husbandry Udumalai K Radhakrishnan also introduced a bill that regulates and prescribes standards for artificial insemination of bovines in the state. Under the new amendment the breeding of cattle will be regularised. The government keenly felt the need for improving productivity of bovines in the state by regulating bovine breeding activities such as bovine breeding bulls, bovine semen production, sale and distribution of bovine semen and artificial insemination services for bovines, the bill read.
A bill to amend the Tamil Nadu Government Servants Act and a bill to repeal number of enactments in the existing acts were also introduced by Minister for Personal and Administrative Reforms D Jayakumar and Law Minister CVe Shanmugham.
