Alagiri ‘suggests’ Rajini does not take political plunge
Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) president KS Alagiri ‘suggested’ that superstar Rajinikanth should not take the political plunge.

Talking to reporters in the city on Sunday, Alagiri said, “Rajini fans could visit Vellore. They can watch a newly released Rajini movie in a theater, which is available aplenty there. I don’t deny that, but they cannot determine who should be the MP of Vellore.”
“There is a big difference between cinema and politics. After MGR, no one from cinema has shone bright in politics. He should not make futile attempts. As a fan of Rajini, I don’t advise, I suggest. I only suggest that he should not take the political plunge. It is only a suggestion,” Alagiri remarked, apparently, forecasting that the actor, who has assured to take the plunge during the ensuing Assembly election, would not taste success if the make his political debut.
Alagiri, who spoke on various issue also announced that the state Congress would organise an agitation condemning the privatisation of Salem Steel Plant soon.
