Two killed as bus rams into bike in Tirupur

According to the police, Pappu Kumar (22), Ashuthosh (22)-both hailing from Bihar-and Rajesh Kumar (24) from Odisha, were travelling to Avinashi from Thekkalur when they were hit by a speeding bus.

 They all were working in a textile firm in Thekkalur. Police said the three persons were travelling on the same bike and that too in the wrong direction, when the mishap happened near Thekkalur.

In the impact of the mishap, all the three persons were thrown off their vehicle. While Pappu Kumar and Rajesh Kumar died on the spot, Ashuthosh suffered serious injuries and has been admitted in a private hospital in Coimbatore.

On receiving information, the Avinashi police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies of the deceased for post mortem at Avinashi Government Hospital. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
