“State’s opinion on new education policy will be sent to the Prime Minister in a day or two”, he said. The minister said that a formal letter will be sent from the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Stating that Tamil Nadu will adopt two language policy in the school education, Sengottaiyan said that the State will not accept the imposition of any particular language to the students.
On the distribution of free laptops to the students, the minister pointed out that the government continues to give laptops for the students studying in class XI and XII.
“At the same time, students, who have completed schooling in 2017-18 and 2018-19, will also get laptops”, he said adding a government order has been issued in this regard.
Claiming that the distribution of laptops for all the students will be over within three months, Sengottaiyan said during the first phase, higher secondary students will be benefited in the laptop scheme.
