10-day-old boy abandoned in Ranipet in Vellore GH care

Passers-by who spotted the infant alerted the police, who then recovered the baby.

According to the police, some passers-by at IOB Nagar in Ranipet SIPCOT area on seeing dogs and crows crowding around a garbage bin rushed to the spot and found a 10-day-old boy there. Though they held inquiries with those in the vicinity, none had a clue as to who left the baby there.

They immediately informed the SIPCOT police, who rushed to the spot, recovered the child and sent it to the Wallajahpet Government Headquarters Hospital. Later, the infant was shifted to Vellore Government Medical College Hospital on Saturday, where the baby was provided first aid. A team of doctors is monitoring the baby’s condition at the Vellore Government Medical College Hospital. However, no case has been registered so far.
