Implement schemes or face PM: BJP
The Puducherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday said that it would lodge a fresh complaint with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah if the Congress government here failed to implement the centrally sponsored schemes such as ‘Ayushman Bharat’ and ‘Housing’ before July 15.

The Puducherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday said that it would lodge a fresh complaint with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah if the Congress government here failed to implement the centrally sponsored schemes such as ‘Ayushman Bharat’ and ‘Housing’ before July 15.
Talking to news persons here, BJP State President V Saminathan, MLA (nominated), charged that the apprehension of the Congress was that the BJP may gain electoral benefits and it was the reason for non-implementation of central schemes.
He said presently 58,000 people were availing the medical assistance provided by the government and if Ayushman Bharat was implemented one lakh people would be benefited.
“Pucca houses for all before 2022 is a dream scheme of Modi which was also not being implemented here,” he said. Earlier, BJP Puducherry in-charge Mahesh Giri arrived here and held discussions with local party office-bearers in respect ofstrengthening the party in the Union Territory.
