Expect long-term drought management projects for TN shortly, says Revenue dept

“The State government is also working on long-term drought management projects, which will be unveiled soon,” the CRA said, adding that inspections were under way in Kancheepuram.
“Field studies and inspections to explore similar projects will commence in Tiruvallur district soon,” Satyagopal said.
According to him, flood mitigation work also helps to increase ground water table. Stating that the interlinking of tanks was under way in Kancheepuram, he said, “Linking of Orathur and Arambakkam lakes would increase the water catchment and groundwater table.”
