Unidentified motorists pelt stones on Chennai bound bus

Having no precedence, a bus bound for Chennai from Cuddalore's Thittakudi was stone-pelted by motorists, on midnight.

The bus while passing by Virudhachalam's LIC office, was laid siege by a biker with two pillion riders. As the bus driver and conductor became restive and shouted at them, the trio started pelting stones making the passengers anxious. But after a brief pelting the trio fleed the place. The bus too resumed for Chennai.

The front pane was completely shattered. Virudhachalam Inspector Shahul Hameed took stock at the situation. Being an isolated attack, neither the pelters nor their intentions were known.
