MK Stalin throws brickbats at trilingual course
The trilingual course is believed to subsume the regional idiosyncrasies. Several Tamil politicians have raised exceptions.
Chennai
DMK supremo MK Stalin has come down heavily at the Centre for looking upon Kasturirangan committee's trilingual course as an inspiration for New Education Policy. The course recommends learning of Hindi language along with mother tongue and English.
He warned of repercussions if the ruling BJP government tries to tweak with Tamil language. The two-language course of Tamil and English will prevail he says. Alluding two-language scheme to bee-hive, he groused that central government is trying to unsettle the Tamil people by 'throwing stones' at the beehive.
Stalin promised that his party's MPs will voice the reservation of Tamils on the trilingual course.
