OPS, EPS thank voters for Theni LS, 9 Assembly bypoll victories

In a joint statement, they said, “Win in Theni Lok Sabha constituency is significant as it enabled us to second the newly formed government at the Centre. The win gave by Theni people, who have been loving AIADMK leaders MGR and J Jayalalithaa, as their children had turned into a thanksgiving opportunity.”

Though the AIADMK secured only a single seat in the Lok Sabha elections it managed to obtain nine seats in the bypoll conducted for 22 Assembly seats.

Through the win, the party got the required number of seats to run the government and it saved the state government.

Thanking the voters, who voted for them and helped them retain the government, the convenors said, “The victory given by voters in Sholingur, Pappireddipatti, Harur, Sulur, Nilakottai, Manamadurai, Sattur, Paramakudi and Vilathikulam had helped the government, formed by Jayalalithaa, to remain in power.” The convenors also said that the voters had set aside the traitors and had chosen the AIADMK. “The voters have proved that AIADMK, started by MGR and historically developed by Jayalalithaa, is the true people’s party and ‘Two Leaves’ was their symbol. The traitors were rejected by the voters,” they said.

“The voters who have saved the face of the government will be thanked personally and so the party functionaries and the candidates should meet the voters in person starting from first week of June,” OPS and EPS said.

They went on to say that the party will continue to implement welfare schemes. “The party functionaries and cadre should continue to help not just AIADMK voters, but all. They should work to satisfy people of all sections and win their hearts,”they said.
