After a whirlwind campaigning schedule, actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan was back in Chennai on Friday. He addressed the press and answered many questions, including the 'Hindu-terror' question.
He said he had made the Ghodse-remark earlier during a speech near Marina beach. It is for electoral gains by polarisation, this is being made an issue now, said Kamal. "In Marina, people of all faiths have gathered and there was no problem when I made this statement there. It is the RSS that is really hurt, we must learn to differentiate between RSS and Hindus'', said Kamal Haasan.
''I need not reply to Modi's statement that 'Hindus cannot be terrorists'. The history says every religion had extermists in some point in time, let the history answer him'', said the Makkal Needhi Maiam chief. He chose not to respond to Minister Rajendra Bhalaji's 'tongue-sever' saying he doesn't want to get involved in the political mudslinging.
When he was questioned abut his anticipatory bail, he answered that he has a lot of campaigning to do and did not want to be hindered by anything. He said he doesn't fear arrest and that his arrest could cause undue tensions.
