Isolated parts in TN to get rain
With the city’s temperature taking a dip in past few days, the heat wave has ended in almost all parts of the State and isolated parts are likely to receive heavy rains in the coming days.

RMC issued a heavy rain warning in places including Theni, Virudhunagar and Tirunelveli for the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds of wind speed reaching 40-50 Kmph and lightning are likely to occur at places including Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tiruvannamalai, Namakkal, Karur, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Erode, Dindigul, Theni, Virudhunagar and Tirunelveli.
The temperature in the city is likely to be recorded at a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius in the next 48 hours, while minimum temperature is expected to be 29 degrees Celsius.
On Thursday, the two weather stations in Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 36.6 degrees Celsius and 38.2 degrees Celsius respectively. The minimum temperatures remained to be 29.4 and 28.7 degrees.
Until next Wednesday, the city is likely to be generally cloudy with light to moderate rainfall. Other parts of the State including Dharmapuri, Madurai, Krishnagiri and Nilgiris received about 5-3 cm of rainfall on Wednesday.
