A steady sense of excitement is seen to be rising amongst the public due to the impending counting of votes for the Parliamentary elections on the 23rd of this month.

A number of regional parties have contested in the election as independent entities. Following this, the Chief Minister of Telangana, Chandrashekar Rao has been consistently engaging in activities for the formation of a third party.

He had been indulging in these activities well before the beginning of the election and had met DMK chief MK Stalin regarding the same, though the formation of alliance was not achieved before the elections.

He has been persistently taking actions to form the party post elections and is set to meet DMK Chief MK Stalin to conduct a discussion, following an earlier failed attempt at the said meeting since MK Stalin was caught up with campaigning activities.

He is set to board a private plane at Trichy and arrive at around 4:40 PM at Stalin’s residence in Alwarpet.

Allegations against the Congress on a failed attempt to engage the various political parties in a coalition against the BJP had earlier been made.

BJP is set to form a third party in order to shift the competition from the Congress. Chandrashekar Rao is said to be engaging in activities to strengthen the said party.

During the meeting, MK Stalin and Chandrashekar Rao are said to be discussing the activities to be undertaken after the elections and about the formation of the party. Rao is also set to meet various other leaders after his meeting with MK Stalin.

Owing to DMK’s involvement with the Congress in the parliamentary elections and Stalin’s support of Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Ministerial candidate, a new coalition with a third party is unlikely. Political analysts have predicted that the meeting between these two is merely a gesture of respect.
