AIADMK implementing all projects opposed by Jaya, charges Dhinakaran
The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) leader TTV Dhinakaran on Wednesday took a dig at the AIADMK government, claiming that Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has been implementing all projects opposed by former chief minister J Jayalalithaa out of fear for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Canvassing for AMMK candidate K Sugumar in Sulur Assembly constituency, Dhinakaran said that AIADMK will lose deposit in the already held polls for 18 Assembly segments.
“They were gifted with a huge defeat in RK Nagar bypoll as people were not ready to accept this betrayal government. All projects opposed by Jayalalithaa were being implemented by EPS and OPS, who act as agents of Modi,” he said.
Stating that projects like GST which burdened industries, NEET and schemes affecting farmers were allowed by the AIADMK, even while staking claim of Jayalalithaa’s rule, the AMMK leader said that people should understand their betrayal and vote for the true loyalists of Jaya.
Lashing out at the nature of alliance the AIADMK had in the Lok Sabha polls, Dhinakaran said DMDK opposed to keep the photo of Jayalalithaa in the Assembly and the PMK approached court against building a manimandapam.
“However, the AIADMK had kept alliance with both these parties for their selfish interests. How will those betrayers show interest in people’s welfare?” he asked.
On the recent incidents of sexual assaults against women, Dhinakaran said that the safety of women is under threat in this government, which came to power in the name of Jayalalithaa.
The AMMK leader promised to set up a farmers’ assistance centre and provide free electricity to power looms functioning in Sulur area.
He sought to address water woes by bringing water through Parambikulam-Aliyar scheme and arrange monthly financial assistance to farmers and power loom labourers aged 60 and above.
As part of his road show, he toured Kallapalayam, Idayarpalayam, Akkanayakkanpalayam and Vadavalli areas seeking votes.
