Stalin can win Nobel for lying: Palaniswami 

Palaniswami termed Stalin a liar at Viraganoor on Monday while campaigning for AIADMK candidate Muniyandi contesting in Tiruparankundram Assembly constituency bypoll.

The Chief Minister said that the High Court did not find fault in obtaining the thumb impression from the late Jayalalithaa on Form-A and B in nomination papers of the late AK Bose. Citing this as a baseless allegation, he condemned Stalin’s statement and criticised him as a ‘liar’.

Without knowing anything about this, Stalin simply lied and fabricated stories to confuse people.

“If a politician wants to be honoured with Nobel prize for lying, then it ought to be given to Stalin,” he said.

Further, the Chief Minister said despite being the Leader of Opposition, Stalin did not know how to speak in public.

On the charges of state not taking steps to employ Tamil youth in Central government, the Chief Minister asked whether Stalin took any efforts to do so when DMK was in power in alliance with the Congress for nearly 14 years. “The DMK is a party, which is only concerned about its family, but never bothered for people and their welfare,” Palaniswami said.

When the AIADMK implemented schemes to provide assistance of Rs 1,000 to all family card holders for Pongal festival and Rs 2,000 to each of below poverty line families, the DMK tried to stop them through legal intervention.

The Chief Minister asked whether it was wrong to help the poor and added that Stalin’s dream of becoming the Chief Minister would never become a reality.
