Pollachi case: Three audio clips of man threatening woman go viral

In a four-minute conversation, the caller claiming to be from Pollachi, threatens to kill the victim and her entire family if she fails to withdraw the case. “I won’t beg (to withdraw the case) hereafter. I will first kill your husband, then you and thereafter your family,” the caller says.

In another recorded audio, the caller makes similar threats, while in one audio, the person boasts that the police and politicians are backing them, hence he cannot be harmed. However, the woman clearly says she won’t withdraw the case.

Police are inquiring if the audio clips were original or fabricated ones as the caller spells out the name of a few police officers and politicians.
