TNML founding-president VMS Musthafa said, “We will extend support to AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran who is the protector of Islamic minorities in the State. We will support AMMK in the upcoming bypolls.”
He also said that the TNML cadre will work round-the-clock to ensure the victory of AMMK candidates in Aravakurichi, Sulur, Tirupparankundram and Ottapidaram constituency. The TNML had indirectly supported the AMMK in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections held in the State. It is the second Muslim party to extend direct support to the AMMK after the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).

The party has nominated V Vijayaragavan (Sulur), P K Selvam (Aravakurichi), R Revathi (Tirupparankundram) and M Akalya (Ottapidaram). All four will contest on their party symbol ‘Farmer’. Meanwhile, condemning the recent terror attacks in Sri Lanka, the party has announced that it would stage a protest in Chennai on Friday. The protest will be held at Valluvar Kottam with party chief Seeman urging like-minded organisations to participate in it.
