    Lok Sabha elections 2019: voters rush to cast votes

    Lok Sabha polling began on Thursday morning for the union territory of Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu across the 38 constituencies.

    Lok Sabha voting begun by 7 am in almost all the booth in Tamil Nadu. Yet voting in some polling booths in Tamil Nadu was delayed on Thursday owing to technical problems with the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM).

    Tamil Nadu recorded 39.49 percent voting till 1 pm. It was reported that the voters bee-lined the polling booths from morning. 

    Reports said, people travelled in roof top of buses, and in foot boards, to cast their votes in their native.

    It is becomes a pleasant surprise to see that voters line up the booths, realising their right to vote, even while the following week end is a long holiday.

    Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy, O Panneerselvam, MK Stalin, Murasoli Maran, DMK General Secretary K Anbalagan were among the political leaders who casted their votes.

    Film fraternities also ensured that they cast their votes. Actor Rajnikanth, Ajith Kumar, Vijay and actress Trisha casted their votes in their respective constituencies.
