Ignore opinion polls, strive for win, AIADMK cadre told

In their letter, AIADMK coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Chief Minister and party co-coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami termed this election as the first delivery of a motherless woman.

“Though this is the first Lok Sabha elections we are facing without ‘Amma’, who had guided the party for almost 30 years, we are sure to make a clean sweep with the support of the people,’ they said.

“The people have accepted our grand alliance, which also has the BJP and other parties. The real truth is that our front will all the 40 seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry,” they said.

Referring to some of the opinion polls predicting win for the Opposition DMK-led front, they said the Opposition parties were trying to divert the people and party cadre by giving cash for votes and various advertisements. “Left with no other option, the Opposition parties are trying to impose false opinion polls on the people,” they added.

“They have realised that the AIADMK-led alliance would sweep the polls and in a bid to divert the people and the voters have started a conspiracy in the name of opinion polls using TV channels owned by them.”
