Gangster cuts cake with long knife on birthday, five held

The action came on Thursday after a video clip of the birthday party hosted by notorious rowdy identified as Jeesu (32) from Kitchipalayam in Salem went viral in social media. A few days ago, Jeesu along with his accomplices visited the foothills of a hillock near Rasipuram in Namakkal district and cut a huge cake using a two-foot-long knife. The gang danced and celebrated Jeesu’s birthday while he was seen holding the weapon.

Following this, the police arrested Jeesu and his two brothers, Silambarasan (32) and Moses (29), apart from his two accomplices Ramesh (32) and Venkatesh (35). All of them were facing several cases of murder, dacoity and waylaying in different police stations in Salem district.

The Kitchipalayam police in Salem registered a case for causing public nuisance and conspiracy against them. A search is on for few more persons. It is to be recalled that a gang of anti-social elements, who celebrated the birthday of Binu, a notorious gangster, in a similar fashion in Chennai was cracked down a year ago.
