Retired Judge Devadas appointed as Lokayukta Ombudsman for Tamil Nadu
Lokayukta for Tamil Nadu state will have retired district judge P Devadass as its Ombudsman, to enquire on the complaints received from public.

After a long wait the Lokayuta has been finalised in Tamil Nadu. Lokayukta, an anti corruption organisation formed to people publicise corruption among politicians and Government officials is functioning in all states of India as per the orders of the Supreme Court.
The organisation which was formed recently in Tamil Nadu, will now have retired district judge P Devadass as it Ombudsman, announced Tamil Nadu in a press release on April 2.
The selection committee headed by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami considered the names of recommended by the search committee and later finalised the officials, reports said.
The Lokayukta panel will have retired district judges K Jeyabalan and R Krishnamoorthy will be the judicial members, whereas retired IAS officer M Rajaram and Senior advocate K Arumugam will be the non judicial members.
