Case registered against Ponnar for code violation

A case has been registered on Wednesday against Senior BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping, Pon Radhakrishnan for violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during an election campaign recently

Official sources said a case has been registered against Radhakrishnan, who is the BJP’s candidate from Kanniyakumari LS constituency for allegedly campaigning at Thuckalay on March 30 with more number of vehicles without obtaining permission. On a complaint from special tahsildar Taj Nisha, who also heads the Static Surveillance Squad, the Thuckalay police registered a case against the Union Minister and others, who are unidentified, and followed him in vehicles.
