Campaigning for party’s south Chennai candidate Tamilachi Thangapandian at Sholinganallur on Monday, Stalin alleged that the details of the wealth amassed by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and his Deputy O Panneerselvam were kept in Kodanad and hence they had planned to recover the stored data immediately after Jayalalithaa’s death. The court has categorically stated that there was nothing wrong in speaking what is reported in the media.

Describing Tamilachi as a special candidate who has been fielded in a constituency which sent Anna and Murasoli Maran to the Lok Sabha, Stalin said, “I am standing before you as candidate. All our candidates contesting on Rising Sun symbol are children of Kalaignar. I have come as the mayor who reformed project execution and administration,” after elaborating his stint as Mayor.

Speaking at length about the Pollachi sex racket, Stalin took exception to the CM’s reference to biriyani shop assault of DMK men and said, “Is Pollachi not enough to certify your government? EPS says DMK men attacked a biriyani shop. Yes, it happened. We acted on it. We have not reinstated them in the party. We had also expressed regret. But, seven years have passed and over 200 women were affected in Pollachi. One of the accused is the son of deputy speaker Jayaraman. What action have you taken? Is this how you maintain Law and Order?” Stalin demanded that both Jayaraman and EPS should demit office for truth to be unearthed.

“If not now, the truth will be unraveled when this govt comes to an end soon,” Stalin added, asserting that they would put behind bars whoever was responsible for Jayalalithaa’s death after they form the government. Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for creating massive job loss, Stalin said, the PM considers himself as a king and functions like an autocrat and fascist.
