Engineering works in Arokkonnam line: Express trains to suspend services from April 4 - April 14

Southern Railways in a recent announcement said that it will suspend its services in the Arakkonam- Thakkolam, newly laid track due to installation of signals and to attend pending engineering works. 

Hence changes are expected in train services from Chennai via Jolarpettai. The press release from the Southern Railway said the following train services will be affected:

Train No 22625 from Chennai central will be cancelled on April 11, 12, 13 and 14.

Train No 22626 from Bangalore will be cancelled on April 11, 12, 13 and 14.

Train No 12027 Bangalore Shatapdi Express will be cancelled on April 14.

Train No 12028 Chennai Shatapdi Express will be cancelled on April 14.

Train No 12608 Bangalore - Chennai Express will be operated till Katpadi Junction. and the return 

service from Katpadi- Chennai will be suspended from April 5- April 14.

Train No 12610 Mysore- Chennai central express, will suspend services from Katpadi -Chennai central from April 5- April 14.

Train No 17312 Vascodagama - Chennai will run till Jolarpettai. The return services from Jolarpettai- Chennai central will be suspended  from April 4- April 11.

Train No 22679 from Hubli- Chennai central will be operated till Jolarpettai from April 6- April 13.  The services from Jolarpettai to Chennai will be suspended.

Train No  12640 from Bangalore - Chennai central  will run till Sholingar and then the return sevice will be suspended on April 14.

Train No 12609  Chennai central - Mysore express will stop services from Chennai central - Sholingar from April 5 - April 14.
