TN under a rotten rule now, charges Stalin
DMK president and Opposition Leader MK Stalin called the AIADMK government as a rotten rule by citing the Sattur blood transfusion case.
Madurai
Stalin while campaigning for alliance candidate Su Venkatesan of CPM in Madurai on Thursday, said that as many as 15 pregnant women died due to negligence of doctors in GHs over the last four months in Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri,
In an all-out attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the DMK chief doubted whether the AIIMS centre would come up in Madurai as only foundation stone was laid for the facility and funds were yet to be allotted by the Centre. In fact, the status of many announcements of Modi was just like the AIIMS foundation stone. All of them were nothing but election gimmicks, Stalin added.
Likewise, as per the Smart City Mission, 11 locations in Tamil Nadu among the 100 club were selected by the Centre but there’s no sign of development in them, he charged. “Not a single city has turned smart, so far,” the Opposition Leader said.
Pointing to the Sethu Samudram Shipping Canal Project, the DMK president said the foundation stone was laid in 2005. But the project was stalled by the BJP government, he alleged. This project would take off if the Congress-led alliance was voted to power at the Centre, assured Stalin. He also promised to put behind bars those guilty of killing former CM J Jayalalithaa.
