According to party sources, the candidate for Sriperumbudur was introduced as Mahendran, but his original name was Mahendran Jain and for the sake of getting a seat in the party, he had masked his identity.

In the last decade, NTK contested in all the elections and fielded only Tamil candidates according to the party ideology, but the goof up in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections was criticised widely.

Memes kept circulating in social media criticising Seeman for giving seats to his brother-in-law Arunmozhi Thevan to contest in Virudhunagar constituency and for a Jain community person in Sriperumbudur. Seeman was also criticised for not following democracy in the party.

Former NTK functionary, Viyanarasu, who was expelled from the party recently, said, “The party candidates are chosen at will by Seeman and party men who work on the ground are never considered by him.”

Similarly, Seeman in his address revealed much information and one such was formation of Neidhal army. Seeman said, “Once if NTK was elected to power, we will form Neidhal Padai and already the Indian army is in touch with me.”

The announcement was widely criticised in social media and it was compared to his previous goof ups that he was the first Indian to fire AK-74 and slain LTTE Chief Prabakaran liked turtle meat.

Another misrepresentation in the manifesto of the party was the picture of a carcass of a charred rabbit mentioned as that of Korangani forest fire. But the social media users were quick to spot the mistake and identified it to be the carcass of the rabbit from California forest fire.
