Due to LS polls, revaluation for all board exams to start from April 1
With the general elections coinciding with the examination schedule this year, officials have decided to begin the valuation of answer sheets for classes 10, 11 and 12 from April 1 itself.

Sources said the work will be over before the polling date – April 18 – so that teachers deployed on election duty without any hindrance.
Every year, the evaluation would begin only by April second week, as teachers will be given some time after the exams, which usually gets over by March. “However, due to elections, it has been decided to start it early so that the results can be published before time,” said a senior Education Department official.
The official added that extra persons would be appointed to finish evaluation before elections, noting that extra fund has been allocated to mobilise more teachers to complete the task.
The official said answer script bundles would be taken to evaluation centres across all districts through a secured system using a special vehicle. “This system has ensured safe transportation of answer scripts, on time,” he said.
According to the official, all answer sheets would be scanned and uploaded in the website soon after the evaluation.
“In order to address the concerns of the candidates who seek revaluation, it was decided to scan the answer scripts and upload them on the website,” he said, adding “This will help students in putting forth their request for re-totalling of marks or for re-evaluation of answer scripts.”
